Local Author Kathryn Lane Receives NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement Award - The Woodlands

Kathryn Lane, author and creator of the popular Nikki Garcia Thriller series, was recently announced as one of the Fiction category award winners by the National Association of Book Entrepreneurs (NABE) Fall 2016 Pinnacle Book Achievement Awards for her novel Waking Up in Medellin.


“For over 36 years, we have honored some of the finest independently published books on the market today” said Al Galasso, executive director of NABE. This recognition for Lane honors Waking Up in Medellin as “one of the finest books by NABE members in a wide variety of different fields.” NABE is an organization dedicated to promoting authors and publishers, and currently has approximately 9,500 members.


Waking Up in Medellin, published by Pen-L Publishing, was released last March and has already prompted two sequels currently in development, is an award-winning mystery thriller and has earned an average Amazon.com customer review of 4.7 out of 5 stars, with readers praising the novel as “a fast-paced thriller with an edge-of-your-seat finish.” For additional information visit Ms. Lane’s website www.kathryn-lane.com
