Notice Of Construction For The City of Shenandoah

Loading Image...

The City of Shenandoah is beginning a number of projects in 2023 that will bring changes to all areas of the city.

In order to help you plan travel needs, as well as keep you informed on the progress, the website will now feature "Construction Zone."

David Memorial Drive Extension – Clearing and Grubbing
Total project cost: $9,500,000

David Memorial Drive will be extended from its current ending point at Entertainment Blvd north to SH-242.

The area for the future road will be cleared of all trees and stumps starting this month.

When complete, this project will provide an important alternate route for those driving to Methodist Hospital and to the commercial and residential areas east of I-45.

How about adding some sidewalks and crosswalks around town ? I drive a wheelchair and the seemingly random placement of such is frustrating and extremely limiting. Quite often I've had to cancel plans or appointments because I could not get there without a vehicle.
