City of Tomball Hosting Two 9/11 Ceremonies - September 10 & 11, 2022
The City of Tomball will host two ceremonies to commemorate the anniversary of the September 11th 2001 attacks.
This tragedy changed the course of history but also showed American resilience and willingness to stand united in the face of adversity.
Although it’s been 21 years, we will never forget the lives lost and the sacrifice of those who showed immeasurable heroism during and after the attacks.
On Saturday, September 10th the City will host a silent ceremony to light the spotlights that will symbolize the twin towers of the World Trade Center at 8:00 p.m. at the Tomball Depot.
The ceremony will begin at 7:45 p.m. with a solemn procession and a wreath-laying.
On Sunday, September 11th, Mayor Quinn will be joined by Tomball first responders in a procession to the Depot, which will be followed by the lowering of the flags to half-staff at the moment when the plane hit the North Tower.
