Pool Company Owner Wanted For Defrauding Multiple Victims
On November 8, 2021, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted an investigation on the Epic Fiberglass Pool Company due to multiple complaints of fraud.
The investigation revealed that the owner of the company, Darren Cook, defrauded multiple victims for over $150,000.00.
According to multiple victims, he would set up an initial meeting and collect a large deposit before beginning the job.
He would then have a hole dug where the pool was to be installed, but with no intention of finishing the job.
He would then cease all communication with the victims, terminate their contracts and threaten to file harassment charges against them if they continued contacting him about the unfinished work.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and advised the facts of this case and charges for Felony Theft were accepted against Darren Cook.
"Investigators have reason to believe there may be more victims of Epic Fiberglass Pool Company.
If you have been victimized by Cook or his company, please contact our dispatch at (281) 376-3472 or online at www.constablepct4.com to arrange to speak to an investigator." - Constable Mark Herman
