Funny, I was telling my friend in VA about them doing away with straight party voting....She had never heard of that.
I thought that was option everywhere.
I told her as large as our ballots are it would take a while to click every single party. I always voted straight party...
Guess not now.

I heard that a third early polling site may be opened this Friday or next week due to the very large turnout already. I waiting about 2 hours in line to be able to vote (first day).

I just voted too...sounds to me like 8a is the worst time to go. Anyone else tried a time closer to mid day or afternoon? How long of a wait was that? Today it was drizzling or 🌧 intermittently, so luckily I had my 🌂 with me. Long lines, all the way to the street, but moves at steady pace. By the way I checked two locations- South Montgomery community center and Cyntha Woods Mitchell library, both had long lines, so turnout is strong. Took me an hour to get to the booth at the latter location, from the time I entered the line at around 8:10a. Drive through voting is also available apparently. I didn't notice any straight party voting option...didn't take long either way.

HiHoNeighbor : Which location did you vote at?

@RedPanda : I voted at the library on Ashlane Rd (back side of The Woodlands off of Woodlands Pkwy).

I have heard confirmation that there is another early voting site if interested. But I'm slammed right now and can't search the site, but if you're interested know that it is out there, for you to research.

I also believe that the lines should be going down considerably at this point.

Another weird thing I found is that everyone is entering with masks that cover a large part of their face and the election officials are not even asking to lower mask to check photo ID matches person producing it. 🤦‍♂️

I suspect that there will widespread voter fraud because of this in other parts of the US because of the pandemic.
