Breaking The Silence: Suicide Prevention In Law Enforcement

Forum Image

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a time to share resources and shed light on this troubling subject.

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7, 365 days a year. 1-800-273-TALK (8255)

FELLOW OFFICERS: Police officers are at a higher risk for suicide than the general population.

Always make sure you are taking time for yourself.

It is okay to not be okay!

@TheWoodlandsTXDotCom : Well said. We should be courteous to officers at stops and thank them for their service to make them feel appreciated, so they're motivated to work their dangerous jobs, or before we know it there won't be anyone willing to do that line of work and we won't have a nation worth protecting anymore.
