On December 13, 2019, at about 5:15 pm, The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office received information that a high school student of the Woodlands Christian Academy had informed her mother of an inappropriate relationship between herself and a teacher identified as Lacey Jo Cunningham (32-year-old female).

Detectives later interviewed Ms. Cunningham at her apartment, located at 2443 FM 1488, Conroe, TX. During the interview, Ms. Cunningham cooperated with Detectives and consented to the search and removal of numerous electronic devices, which will undergo forensic and digital analysis.

On December 18, 2019, as a result of the information obtained in the investigation, Detectives obtained an arrest warrant on the felony charge of Improper Relationship between Educator/Student for Ms. Cunningham.

On December 19, 2019, Ms. Cunningham turned herself into the Montgomery County Jail where she was placed in custody for Improper Relationship between Educator/Student, a second-degree felony, with a $50,000 bond. Ms. Cunningham has since bonded out.

If you have any information regarding this incident please contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 936-760-5800 or Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP (7867) and refer to case#19A399382.

Where were these teachers when I was a kid?
I have a few friends that send their kids there. It is not a cheap school. They are losing several students from this.

It just astounds me that these adults don't say to themselves "this is a child, I can lose everything over this thrill. "
Yes teens look older but most know they are under age.
We all know teens like posting on social media, don't teachers realize it will get out?

@Strofan : And it's a Christian school. You would hope the standards would be higher. My kids attended Christian schools for a few years. My daughter is 12 and this is her first time in public school.
Luckilly we felt nothing but agape love from the teachers.

@djohn78 : People think the price tag comes with quality, and therein lies the fallacy of presumption. Quite frankly, I don't even think they're a good 'Christian' school. These private schools are big on social events and other extra curricular nonsense, and fall flat on their face on academics and the stuff that counts towards getting the kids prepared for a life outside their sheltered, priveleged campus life. John Cooper is another. I've heard enough stories....no thanks!

@djohn78 : Because it's a Christian school the standards would be higher? That's a joke!

I went to Christian schools until about 6th grade ...but of course it was a different era then. I think anything bad can happen anywhere these days. And so many female sexual offenders now seems so strange. Also seems the teachers are a lot younger these days. Maybe the younger teachers should teach elementary instead of high school.

@DEEDEE8 : I see your point, however I'd be concerned about having such teachers around even younger kids...I don't understand what is their problem. Its like a sickness of some kind.

@RedPanda : That's true. I thought that same thing after I wrote that. But maybe it is because the teachers are close in age to the students. Who knows though, sick is sick.

@DEEDEE8 : True...and there might also something to do with the food in the industrialized era. Kids appear bigger and physically matured early on nowadays. Some high school kids are huge and I am almost hard pressed to believe they're still in school.

@RedPanda : Yes but the teacher knows because it is one of her students.

@RedPanda :

It's all the hormones in factory farmed animals that are causing early development, quite a few doctors have agreed with me on that...it's common sense you are eating the garbage they feed the animal when you are dining on them...I can not believe how OLD some kids look, they look like they could be my aunt or uncle ,( a bit of exaggeration there lol)

@RNBill : When my kids went to Christian schools we had great loving teachers. Of course we are all sinners.
