The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 5 p.m. Applicants are invited to attend The Woodlands Township Board of Directors meeting on November 20, 2019, at 6 p.m. to address the Board. The Board of Directors will consider appointments to DSC at the Board meeting on December 4, 2019.
@TheWoodlandsTXDotCom : Isn't the Board already paid quite a handsome salary? Now they want us lowly peons doing their dirty work for free? No thanks. Do the job you were elected to do! This is exactly how politicians get bloated.

@RedPanda : I hear yah.... The old committee has gotten pretty bad over the last thirty years from what the Design Review was in 1985 . They need neighborhood observers to generate odd issues or complaints by people that know the Standards. Many of the Standards have been weakened.. and good employees run off...
Why are they given office in that Taj Mahal building over there? They need more modest quarters in an anonymous place like hardy train tracks on hanna Rd. We would save a Million$$.
They don't seem very interested in keeping the original standard and loose any papers or photos they get.
RedPanda : Actually the Board is a voluntary position and the Directors aren't paid at all.
@TwinTexansFan : Wow. Really, are you sure? I always thought they were paid like most Board members... Can someone confirm that? I'd assume it's a lot of work. Well, I'm positive that get reimbursed for travel on official business, but besides that I would've thought they would get a salary. It's strange to me that the administration of the township are all salaried and their top officials on the Board, aren't.
@RedPanda : Per the Texas Open Meetings Act, two or more board members (of any governing body) can only meet and discuss business during open meetings that have been properly noticed to the public. Which makes it even more incredible that anything ever gets done! They all do a lot of work on their own time learning about the issues affecting The Woodlands.
