A male victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his stomach after a shooting in Sunset Springs Park on Thursday.

According to reports from MCSO, on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at about 5:00 pm, The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the Sunset Springs Park located at 35 S Dreamweaver Cir, The Woodlands, TX 77380 in reference to a shooting.
 
When Deputies arrived, they discovered a young adult black male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The male was transported to a local hospital where he is currently undergoing surgery.
 
Deputies detained a 17 year old black male and are currently interviewing him regarding what occurred at the park.
 
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently being investigated and no other information is available at this time.

Living in Stockton, CA for 2 years has showed me how safe The Woodlands is! This graphic is from last week. We heard a few gunshots last night. So ready to move back to Texas!
