Multi-County Crime Stoppers and DPS Seeks Info on Fatal Hit and Run

Multi-County Crime Stoppers is working with the Texas Department of Public Safety in asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a fatal hit-and-run crash.
DPS Troopers were notified of the possible crash on February 11, 2023, at approximately 10:15 p.m.
However, it is believed the crash occurred sometime around 8:50 p.m. on Russell Drive in New Caney, Texas.
The preliminary investigation indicates that 63-year-old Robert Allen West was riding his bicycle eastbound on Russell Drive when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
Further investigation revealed the unknown vehicle to be a full-size pick-up truck/SUV with a missing passenger-side mirror.
