Culver's in The Woodlands just announced that they are closing in early May. The Welge Family has served some great burgers and shakes in the past 14 years.

I really liked that place and the owner Joe and his help were all great. He also bought a place in Conroe and I wonder how that place is doing?

Joe Welge's wife said it was a lease situation! He was probably paying some high rent for that piece of property!

I will start going to the Conroe location more often. I forget about it. It is kind of out of the way for me, but I don't want it to close.

@Jeb333 : For a bit of background, there has been quite a bit of chatter over the years in this forum (for us old timers) about the many, many, many Mexican or TexMex dining options that abound. I love TexMex, but am looking for some variety....

@HiHoNeighbor : I think my shocked face was a mistake. My finger probably slipped when I attempted to smile/laugh/agree.

I am thrilled that the greedy landlord still has not rented that location, it's been almost 2 years that the greedy animal has lost a nice income. I really miss Joe and our Culvers.
