Xonel, I tried your running path today and you were right. It is a much nicer place to run than where I usually go . I run down Research because it is close to my home. There is a lot more traffic and noise there and a lot less shade. I'm sure I wont go every day because I live towards the back of the Woodlands but it will be a nice alternative once in a while..... especially on days when that sun is really beating down...... Thanks

Glad you enjoyed the Loop...it really is a "different slice" of The Woodlands. One lady, who lives nearby, uses it daily to prepare for marathons she runs all over the USA.

I can understand why the marathon runner uses it to train. It was such a pretty path way that I wasn't counting the minutes, myself and I ended up running more than I usually do. At one point I stopped and took some pictures of a little off path that ran under a bridge.

That path under the bridge leads to Grogans Mill Village Center and Resort and Country Club...also to Beck's Prime Hamburgs.

I have no sense of direction, xonel. I didn't realize it went near Becks. I was all turned around. Did you say it was a three mile loop?

I walk that path almost every day. There's a nice little dog run just east of Six Pines and across the street from North Mill Bend (stuck back between two churches). You can also walk back behind the dog run and walk around a neat little pond that you see from Woodlands Parkway. It's very relaxing to walk back in the various walkways. I take a towel to whip in front of me, as there are lots of cobwebs on this walk.

I'm looking for running partners too. If you go to Luke"s Locker in market square they can tell you about the running groups in The Woodlands. I haven't joined one yet but would be interested in getting a few people together to run. I've needed something to get me more motivated. How much do you run....how far?

I live in The Woodlands and am looking for an early morning running buddy. I have to get started no later than 5:00 AM or earlier. I like to run 3 - 4 miles. Would prefer females. Anyone out there enjoy a very early run?

Why do people run on the shoulders of roads, and not the paths? I see people running on busy roads like Research Forest, and think that it's only a matter of time b4 there is a serious accident.

The paths have shade, maybe some debris, but overall a nice place to run, walk, bike,,,,,
