I guess we're ready, hadn't been paying attention to any local news in days then saw a post about the storm a few hours ago, lol. We attempted to eat at Pappasito's today around 3:30 but they were closed for the day already.

@WoodlandsSparky : Well the worst of it is over! Hope everyone made it through unscathed! The only time I got worried was when the rain was coming in sideways.
It rained all night but I didn't think it was much...however my daughter just got a call from her friend in Dallas asking if we were ok,he heard on the Dallas news it's was really bad and 40,00O homes in the Woodlands were without Electricity. ,mine never went out...it was like typical English weather for me...has it been bad for anyone ?

Worried about water? Fill a couple of bath tubs (for toilets and water), the SJRA water is awful anyway.......only use is for toilets, "if" water is not available. Make sure you have natural gas at your home, and fill yourBBQ propane tanks. Two weeks supply is all you will need, during "direct Hit" Hurricanes....toilet paper is a joke! Canned goods will do just fine until power is restored. Does anyone wonder "why" All electric transmission lines are not BURIED!, THIS WOULD END POWER OUTAGES!

There have been reports that EMI from power transmission lines could interfere with cows' milk production. Since there could be some ethical issues, nobody knows what that would do to humans. But generally speaking, the further away from those, the better. Since there is no way they can burry those as deep as hanging, it's better to let them hang...
Benefit of a storm/hurricane: We have the best air quality for this whole year! I have no idea why it has been so bad this year, always in the 50s, even over 100 sometimes!
