I am very excited to be able to share with you my background in management and in the retail market. Along with running retail stores also responsible for selecting merchandise assortments as well as presentations. Also the compliance in policy and procedures for the store businesses. I was among one of the five regional managers that spearheaded the company into the next phase of growth. I shared the responsibility for hiring as well as HR responsibilities in various levels. For the last 7 years I was held a district manager position and then a regional manager position for 5 1/2 years. In working with Lori's Gifts I grew my territory to manage 9 States with 9 district managers reporting to me and 127 store locations in my region. The company is the largest National Hospital gift shop company in the US. Lori's gifts has been in business for over 30 years and leads the nation as excellent gift shops in 39 States in the US. The stores vary from size and merchandise assortment based upon the hospital facility partnered with for that location. It has been a very exciting type of retail in a very special setting. Prior to Lori's gifts I worked for the largest retailer in the US. I worked for Walmart for 26 years. I started off as a department area manager and moved up to distrct and regional manager. And all of my positions I have enjoyed the people side of the business whether it is on the sales side or the employer side. It's always very motivating to develop and grow and promote the staff forward and their roles as well as the sales side in developing the store locations to have the best sales and profitability. In moving to a new company I am looking forward to be able to use my talents and experience as well as learning new skills and knowledge to continue to grow myself and my expertise.
