Cover Letter:
I graduated with my Master’s degree in communication with an emphasis in organizational communication and public relations. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in public relations and a minor in marketing in May of 2015. Since then, I have worked at Meek’s Lumber company as a marketing assistant where I developed a social media campaign, created digital advertisements and did some graphic design work. Now, I work at Mouery’s Flooring as the marketing coordinator. I am currently developing a rebranding initiative that drives digital and social media advertisements. I also work on SEO improvement, photography, videography, and many other items.

I have other professional and academic experiences that have helped develop me in my career. I have been published in the Springfield News-Leader eight times, the Springfield Business Journal once, and through various online formats. I have been invited to present research at three conferences, facilitated two research-based educational seminars at a national conference, and planned two regional conference for the Central States Communication Association. I have written a variety of news releases, feature stories, research papers, academic papers, and I am currently trying to get published in a scholarly research journal.

I have taught two classes at Missouri States as part of my graduate teaching assistantship. I have taught public speaking for two years now and I will continue to teach public speaking as a per-course faculty member at Missouri State. I was also given the opportunity to teach an online section of persuasion with Dr. Shawn Wahl. I focus on teaching the communication skills needed to be successfully both academically and professionally. However, I also encourage my students to look beyond their beliefs and view the world from a different perspective.
