We are searching for a driven Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support for our corporate and departmental reporting and analysis requirements. We are a tight-knit team with a fast paced, energetic, and entrepreneurial company culture. This role is responsible for preparation and analysis of reports for department leaders and supports the annual budget process, expense and/or staffing forecasts, statistical reporting, and monthly financial closing. This highly visible role will require frequent interaction and coordination with senior and executive management, as you work hand-in-hand with them. This position is a key member of the Finance team reporting to the Vice President of Finance.
Primary Responsibilities
Monthly budget and forecast variance analysis
Assist in the forecasting and budgeting processes
Provide detailed sales and revenue reporting and analysis.
Support other business units to produce reports, and analysis to drive business intelligence
Assist with the month-end and quarter-end reporting, forecasting, and analysis
Identify and develop solutions to improve business processes and reporting.
Assist with financial modeling and analysis related to any R&D projects, business cases, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising.
Support projects for continuous improvement as assigned
Support Accounting team as required to ensure smooth financial close.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Business field
0-3 years of progressive financial analysis experience with an understanding of accounting processes, preferably in a software / technology related business.
Ability to take ownership of processes, tasks and deliverables and demonstrate a self-starter attitude and strong work ethic
Exceptional analytical, modeling, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable dealing with large data sets and experience with complex spreadsheets and modeling scenarios.
Highly proficient with Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with Power BI preferred.
Skill and motivation to grow with the company into more challenging opportunities.
Ability to develop and champion corrective ideas based on analysis findings.
Ability to work quickly and accurately with strict attention to detail while adhering to tight deadlines.
Ability to work well both independently or within the framework of a team.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (CRM & Financials) preferred.
