Part-Time Specialist IV, Accounts Payable (#20269) SO
Position Summary
Utilizes accounting skills to analyze and resolve Accounts Payable issues. Decisions are based on knowledge and experience and on Lone Star College System policies and procedures. Position acts as subject matter expert in assigned area. Responsible for guiding and delegating tasks to Specialists in the absence of Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Job Functions
1.Resolves complex voucher issues, including but not limited to match exceptions, un-vouchered receipts, invoice entry, and budget exceptions.
2.Analyzes, researches and verifies a variety of reports and data used to resolve complex issues. Communicates solutions to ensure accounts are paid correctly and to ensure overall AP data integrity and compliance.
3.Acts as Lead Specialist, providing support and guidance to lower-level Specialists in assigned area. Reviews work of other Specialists and follows up with issues as needed.
4.May act as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more specific area as assigned (e.g. 1099 tax reporting, Fixed Assets, Commerce Bank Payments, ACH Payments, eSettlements).
5.Assists with workflow efforts, including but not limited to testing and integrating procedures and policies.
6.Provides related support for fiscal year-end functions
7.Reviews processes and procedures and makes recommendations for changes as needed, with a focus on continuous improvement.
8.Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
•High school diploma and at least 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary
Hourly Pay Rate is $12.25
