Principal Responsibilities include: This position is responsible for the specification and design of DCS and PLC systems for Global Hydrogen projects. Develops control narratives, IO Index, graphic displays, system configuration for DCS and PLC systems. Programs and configures Rockwell ControLlogix PLCs as well as Emerson DeltaV systems, reviews the work of DCS/PLC vendors and/or other system integrators and provide oversight on their deliverables and work processes. Attends Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests assists in development and maintenance of engineering standards. Works closely with analyzer systems engineering team and gets involved in configuration and calibration of smart field instrumentation such as HART or fieldbus transmitters. Configures the 3rd party device interfaces to DCS using serial or TCP communication protocol. Participates in HAZOP, LOPA, and PHA prepares Hardware Bill of material, system architecture diagrams, conducts hardware FAT. Reviews and approves cabinet layout diagrams, wiring diagrams, network architecture diagrams participate in Safety Lifecycle work processes of SIS.
Candidate will pro-actively perform engineering calculations, programming, testing, installation, commissioning, investigations and assigned tasks for subsets of large projects or complete small projects. As well participate in the engineering design and/or execution of one or more projects with specific focus on design and implementation of DCS and PLC systems for the Hydrogen units.

Skills Required:
Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Control Systems, Instrumentation preferred) with more than 4 years of experience in hydrocarbon processing industry and:
� Experience in design, implementation and commissioning of DCS and PLC Systems
� Experience on Emerson Delta V DCS and Allen-Bradley Rockwell ControlLogix PLC
� Understanding of P&I Diagram content and format, including ISA symbology for hardware and software as well as an understanding of electrical Schematic Wiring Diagrams regarding power distribution, motor control circuits, and PLC/DCS input/output assignment.
� Knowledge of industry specific standards and codes (e. g NEC, NFPA, ISA) is required as well as experience with the application of instrumentation and electrical devices in hazardous locations.
� Experience in Visual Basic scripting required
� Knowledge of Object Oriented programming languages highly desirable
� Knowledge of networking topologies, operating systems, firewalls, routers, switches highly desirable
� Familiarity of SIS design, implementation and knowledge of ISA84 standard
� Experience on working with databases and expert level knowledge of Microsoft office applications
� Experience with dealing and managing work with EPC contractors and/or instrument vendors
Candidate must be able to influence team members and promote ideas to improve design and implementation practices. With the addition of; may provide technical, engineering support to Praxair regions and/or plants. 25% to 30% domestic and international travel is expected.
