Our capabilities include everything from project research, consultation, and design, to turnkey construction management of multimillion-dollar ventures. We have nine locations across Texas: Houston, Dallas, Austin, The Woodlands, Greenspoint, Brenham, Rosenberg, Bryan and San Antonio. Graduate engineers receive a competitive salary that also includes PAID OVERTIME. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
� Provide technical design of civil engineering projects from planning through completion.
� Designs and oversees construction projects such as sub-division, bridges, roads and underground utilities.
� Estimates work load to establish completion dates.
� Land development of large master planned communities includes utilities, street layout and city, county and state paving design projects.
� Complete various civil site and municipal engineering, research, report preparation and technical specifications.
� Manage water/wastewater facility projects, starting with development of the initial project design concept, development of a project plan (including identification of staffing requirements and preparation of project schedule), execution of project design (management of resources within constraints of project budget and schedule), and culminating with management of bid and construction phase engineering service support.
� Responsible for engineering duties in challenging and diversified projects in water and wastewater treatment plant design to include water plants, waste treatment plants, lift stations, pump stations, water wells, odor control systems, security, dewatering, SCADA systems and power consumption analysis/evaluations.
� Accountable for subdivision grading, streets, sewage, storm drains, public works wastewater treatment plant expansions, underground utilities, paving projects, ground storage tanks, elevated tanks, water wells, and sewer rehabilitation.
� Responsible for managing the financial aspects of assigned engineering projects; coordinating and adjusting the work effort within the project team to ensure project work is completed on schedule and within allocated budget.
� Independently coordinate the work of engineers, designers/draft persons and sub-consultants such as city, county and state officials as well as various levels of management throughout the project.
� Establish and maintain client relations through regular and constructive communication with clientele and project team members.
� Capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects and clients.
� Contribute to the training and development of technical staff.
� As a new grad, you will perform the role of project manager on your first project: meeting the client, determining the needs and constraints, performing, analysis, preliminary engineering, design, preparation of plans and specifications, bidding and construction phase services.
Skills Required:
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
� Bachelors of Science with an emphasis in Civil Engineering.
� This position demands an individual with a strong detail-oriented work style, excellent oral and written communication skills, and an accommodating and proactive attitude.
� Applicants must have experience with AutoCAD software.
� The ability to identify work priorities, and function with very little supervision.
� Proficiency with Outlook and MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is necessary.
� Candidates must have strong detail-oriented work style and an accommodating and proactive attitude.
� Must be capable of independent and team work environments.
� Candidate must be flexible to working overtime as required with little or no notice.
� Self-motivated and high level of energy.
