(Other duties may be assigned.) • Manages scheduling, data input, and programming of all computer irrigation software. • Responsible for the repair and diagnostics of all computer hardware. • Responsible for proper maintenance and calibration of the the onsite weather station. • Works directly with multiple utilities to insure proper communication levels are reached within the computerized irrigation software. • Responsible for the maintenance and operations of multiple irrigation pump stations for systems that use non-potable water supplies. • Responsible for review of invoicing by contractors. • Supervises any contractors necessary. • Facilitates the quoting process to include the review of proposals for new installations, hardware issues and irrigation repairs. • Reviews and makes suggestions in regards to all irrigation plans. • Manages reports pertaining to water conservation and irrigation repairs. • Educates and informs the staff and the general public on matters related to water conservation. • Promotes ideas and solutions to improve irrigation systems with the goal of water conservation. • Has an in-depth knowledge of ground maintenance principles, practices, and methods. • Responds to all requests written or verbal as it relates to water conservation and irrigation. • Responsible for managing any pond or lake filling devices and any water wells in the system. • Coordinates and manages irrigation to ensure that each system is in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. • Works closely with the Parks or Streetscape Superintendent(s) to coordinate and manage the drought management plan. • Responsible for updating any plans related to water use and conservation. • Reports directly to the Parks Superintendent. • Participate in emergency response teams. • Safety sensitive position subject to the Random Drug Screen Policy. • Must meet and maintain the requirements of the driver safety policy.
