Position Description Mechanical Engineer Company HHT Services, Inc. Houston Office Position Description: The Mechanical Engineer must possess at least 5-7 years of verifiable relative experience in mechanical engineering of chemical, petrochemical and refining industry facilities and must have a Professional Engineer license. The individual must be familiar with development of process vessels, and development of equipment modeling utilizing practical field experience. The individual must also possess experience in overseeing the design and drafting of P&IDs, 3D models and process piping systems. This position requires, in addition to mechanical engineering knowledge, a project engineering background with an ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English. This position is for a full-time employee based at HH Technology Corp offices in The Woodlands, Texas. The Mechanical Engineer must: • Have proven abilities in piping design skills within the chemical, petrochemical and refinery industry, having worked on both new mechanical systems and retrofit projects. • Be capable of evaluating a project scope of work using P&IDs and specifications to mechanical engineering design systems while adhering to plant design standards and be familiar with computer controlled, chemical process plants. • Possess a good working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, have good mechanical aptitude and a general knowledge of industrial plant design engineering. • Have the ability to efficiently utilize the latest versions of AutoCAD 2018 and AutoCAD Plant 3D 2018, including 3D modeling software, to create piping orthographic and isometric drawings from 3D models. • Be capable of working with equipment vendors, solicit bids, conduct analysis of vendor bids, review vendor shop drawings and perform shop inspections to ensure compliance with both specifications and drawings. • Possess proven team building skills, able to coordinate with required disciplines in order to ensure adherence to company, client and industry practices, including safety practices. • Be capable of maintaining a cooperative and productive work attitude, and have the ability to see the project to completion within a team environment.
