Moved to Texas 1.5 years ago, and settled in The Woodlands right away. I seriously would not have moved to this beautiful city if I had known Comcast and At&t were the only options here, and AT&T is barely holding on. I have serious buyer\'s remorse. I have gone through 4 routers, and hours of my life I can never get back on the phone with Comcast customer service. We are a young family of two graduate students with an elementary school kid, and we have to take turns on the computer to complete our workloads, not to mention pay ungodly amounts of money to get the pathetic service. Please, its 2016, get with the times! You have to have more options to bring people in and keep them. Lets get Google Fiber here!

We were able to get AT&T Internet and Cable service, but were still stuck with Entergy which did NOT offer any renewable energy sources. The Woodlands professes to be all about the trees, but can\'t find a provider to give us non-fossil fuel energy?

Entergy is the rudest and most non-communicating company I have ever dealt with other than Comcast. I have spent 24 hours and many calls and transfers trying to clear up a problem and trust me--nobody there cares what my problem is. I might as well be talking to a series of walls. Rude walls. These two so-called businesses need to look up the words \"customer\" and \"SERVCE\" and what they mean together. Horrible. Off the charts. PLEASE The Woodlands a CHOICE!!

To be fair, there are certain very specific areas of the Woodlands that have Centerpoint energy(which offers many energy choices) and some selection of internet providers. Unfortunately no map is offered on The Woodlands web site showing locations outside the DOME. I have not been able to find them. Apparently you have to contact a Realtor to find out.

The Woodlands, despite all its amenities is a total cash cow for Comcast and Entergy. Entergy has been pretending to try to open up to competition for like 10 years and still nothing has happened. Same with Comcast. I suggest to people wanting to move here, if you don\'t care about having a choice, in a lot of things, then go ahead move on in, but if you want choices you will be very wise to look at the surrounding communities that are very nice but not under the DOME like The Woodlands.

I lived in the Woodlands previously and am moving back. I\'ll be glad to get Comcast back as TV/Internet here in NY is horrible. I never had the issues with Comcast as y\'all describe it and I had Comcast for 7+ years.
The number of cable providers isn\'t the responsibility of The Woodlands. There are options. Choose one. If you want Verizon FIOS, then get them to bring their service to Texas. That\'s Verizon\'s task, not The Woodlands.
Y\'all need to stop complaining and be happy you can live in an area like The Woodlands.
3rd World Issues, for sure! Geez.

Just bought a town home in East Shore, closed, went to move in a found that it takes two days before I can get my power turned on. And I have no choice but to use Entergy. Beware future homeowners.

Comcast is TERRIBLE. The Internet cuts off about once a month and takes a day or longer to resolve the issue and get it up and running, which has always been confirmed a service issue... And the employee in the local store treat pAying customers like foreigners when they talk down to you and suggest over prices \"upgrades\".. Please bring in someone else!

You can get more than Comcast. I have Uverse, for example. I\'ve also had DirecTV.

I am moving to The Woodlands in Dec and was shocked at the monopoly Comcast has in the area. Comcast Internet ONLY was $65 monthly. That is more than any other place I have lived.
It would benefit the people of the Woodlands to have other options and more competition and hence better service as it sounds like many current residents would be flocking from Comcast for very good reason.

My Internet has been down for 3 weeks now. The DVR just wiped all my recorded settings. My cable box keeps rebooting and all the call center in India can say is sorry can we walk you through tier one troubleshooting over and over. I have spent 4 hours on the phone this week just trying to get my internet back up, event bought a new modem. Done with Comcast, but dont want to move to DirectTV because with some of the storms here will interrupt service. So please give us options, we desperately need them....

Seriously, you REALLY need more internet service providers! Comcast is usually slow, and is not up 24/7! They constantly go down! Look in to other ISPs, like Verizon FIoS or Google Fiber!!! If Google Fiber came here, you would have many HAPPY people, not miserable people having crap internet! You would also get more people moving in, business will grow! The modern world is here, and you need to keep up.
