Question: Can my child have a lemonade stand in The Woodlands?

Question:
Can my child have a lemonade stand in The Woodlands?
Money from the lemonade stand will go to Angel Tree for gifts for needy kids. I see kids having stands ever so often. Is a permit required? (Teaching my grandson about the joy of giving!)

Answer:
As long as it's in a non-commercial area, and not at a busy or dangerous intersection, your child shouldn't have a problem setting up a lemonade stand. If you're going to put the stand on property that is not your own, you should get permission from the property owner beforehand.

My child tried to have a lemonade stand today in front of our neighborhood park, but as soon as we set it up a lady from the township came by and told us we couldn't do it, event hough 100% of the money was going towards an animal organization.
