The Woodlands Police Blotter for 04/05/2011:
District 2:
On March 27, 2011, Deputy Everton was dispatched to and address on Golden Oaks in reference to a
Disorderly Conduct call. Dispatch advised that the suspect,
37-year-old male from
Conroe, had displayed an AR-15 style rifle then
fled the scene. Deputy Everton located the suspect at a residence on Moss Oaks Drive and recovered the rifle. At the conclusion of his investigation, Deputy Everton placed the suspect into custody for
Disorderly Conduct for displaying a
weapon in an alarming manner and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail. Additional charges for Felon in
Possession of a
Firearm were added due to a prior
felony conviction.
On March 29, 2011, Senior Sergeant Russell
arrested a
55-year-old male from
Magnolia, after a
traffic stop on FM 2978 near Research Forest. Senior Sergeant Russell observed a pistol on the floor between the seat and door. The driver explained that he did have a concealed carry permit for the
weapon. While speaking with the driver, Senior Sergeant Russell detected the smell of an
alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. The driver was
arrested for
Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carry of a
Weapon-License Holder and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On April 2, 2011, Deputy Christensen responded to a
Disturbance in Progress at 25200 IH-45. Prior to arriving on scene dispatch advised that one of the males involved hit another, knocking him to the ground. Then he and another male picked up the male on the ground, placed him in a vehicle, and left the scene. Deputy Christensen located the vehicle a short distance away and made contact with all three males ages 20, 23, and 26, all from the
Spring area. The suspects stated they had been fighting over where to go to eat. All three suspects had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from their breath as they spoke. All three suspects were placed in custody for
Disorderly Conduct and
Public Intoxication and were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
District 6:
3/24 – Deputy Houstoun
arrested a
20-year-old male from
Spring, a
25-year-old male and
27- year-old male, both from
Houston, for
Shoplifting at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspects attempted to take $416.27 worth of clothing from Macy’s. The suspects were taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
On March 26, 2011, Deputy Ortiz
arrested a
54-year-old female from
The Woodlands after conducting a
traffic stop on Panther Creek. The suspect was observed turning eastbound into the westbound lanes of traffic. The suspect had a strong odor of an
alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath,
bloodshot glassy eyes, and
slurred speech. After conducting the Standardized Field
Sobriety Tests, Deputy Ortiz contacted the District Attorney’s Office and charges were accepted for
Driving While Intoxicated. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County jail without incident.
On March 26, 2011, Deputy Curtis
arrested an
18-year-old male from
The Woodlands after a
traffic stop for speeding on Flintridge at Falconwing. During the course of the
traffic stop, the suspect was found to be in
possession of 1.8 grams of
marijuana. The suspect was taken into custody for
Possession of
Marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
3/28 – Deputy Cogdill
arrested a
52-year-old male from
Magnolia, for
Shoplifting at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect attempted to take $524 worth of groceries and
merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspect was taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. Charges were upgraded to a State Jail
Felony due to two
prior convictions.
3/29 – Deputy Armstrong
arrested a
35-year-old female and
26-year-old female, both from
Houston, for
Shoplifting at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspects took $254 worth of
merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspects were later apprehended during a
traffic stop and the
merchandise was recovered. Both suspects were taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. Charges against the
26-year-old suspect were upgraded to a State Jail
Felony due to two
prior convictions.
On March 30, 2011, Lt. Fitzgerald was patrolling the area of Woodlands Parkway near Gosling when dispatch aired an attempt to locate on a possible
intoxicated driver. Lt. Fitzgerald located the vehicle and observed the driver to swerve between lanes of travel and the shoulder, and unable to maintain a constant speed. At that time, he conducted a
traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver,
36-year-old male from
Magnolia. The driver was visibly shaking, displaying poor coordination and performed poorly on the Standardized Field
Sobriety Tests. The driver was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, charged with
Driving While Intoxicated.
On March 30, 2011, Deputy Houstoun responded to 1100 Lake Woodlands Drive in regards to a
Theft. Loss prevention officers had detained a store employee after their investigation showed she had taken approximately $2,134 in cash from the registers. The employee,
21-year-old female from
Conroe, admitting to taking cash while working. Deputy Houstoun contacted the District Attorney’s Office and charges were accepted for State Jail
Felony Theft. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
3/31 – Deputy Houstoun
arrested a
17-year-old female from
Spring and a
16-year-old female from
Spring, for
Shoplifting at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspects attempted to take $152.25 worth of clothing from Sears. The suspects were taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail and
Juvenile Detention Facility without incident.
On April 1, 2011, Sergeant Sumrall was patrolling on Woodlands Parkway and attempting to catch up with a vehicle when a silver Lexus passed him going in excess of 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. The vehicle also changed lanes
without signaling. Sergeant Sumrall conducted a
traffic stop at that time. Upon making contact with the driver,
47-year-old male from
The Woodlands, he noticed that the driver had a strong odor of an
alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath,
bloodshot red watery eyes, and
slurred speech. After performing poorly on the Standardized Field
Sobriety Tests, the driver was taken into custody, charged with
Driving While Intoxicated, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
4/2 – Deputy Ross
arrested a
19-year-old female from
Conroe and a
19-year-old female from
Houston, for
Shoplifting at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspects attempted to take $148.85 worth of clothing from Sears. The suspects were taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
4/2 – Deputy Evans
arrested a
32-year-old male from
Tomball, for
Shoplifting at 10001 Woodlands Parkway. The suspect attempted to take $43.45 worth of
merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspect was taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. Charges were upgraded to a State Jail
Felony due to two
prior convictions.
4/3 – Deputy
Houston arrested a
17-year-old female from
Spring for
Shoplifting at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect attempted to take $95.00 worth of jewelry from Macy’s. The suspect was taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
