The Woodlands Police Blotter for 03/24/2011:
District 2:
On March 13, 2011, Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to 25455 Borough Park Drive in reference to a
Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputy Zavorski located and detained the suspect,
17-year-old male from
Spring. Prior to placing the suspect in his patrol vehicle, Deputy Zavorski searched the suspect and
marijuana was found. The suspect was charged with
Possession of
Marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County jail. The owner of the vehicle did not wish to pursue charges for the
Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
On March 14, 2011, Deputy Zavorski responded to a
Disturbance in the Creekside Village subdivision. The suspects,
34 year old male and
28 year old female from
Spring, were arguing and then seen getting into separate vehicles and
chasing each other through the subdivision. Deputy Zavorski located the vehicles and attempted to conduct a
traffic stop at which time the first vehicle cut through a parking lot to evade. The second vehicle followed Deputy Zavorski while he pursued the first vehicle. The male suspect continued to evade until he reached the Briarcrest Apartments where he
fled on foot. The female suspect did not want to pursue charges, but when she left she continued to drive around the area. A short time later the male suspect was located and detained for
Evading in a Motor Vehicle. The female suspect returned blocking officer’s vehicles and demanding they release the vehicle to her. She was taken into custody, charged with Interference with Public Duties. Both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 15, 2011, Deputy Wilkerson and Deputy McKee responded to a
Disturbance in Progress on Budde Road. The suspect,
33-year-old male from
Spring, and his girlfriend had been arguing when he grabbed a T-shirt and began trying to choke her with it. The complainant was able to get away and called
911. The assistant District Attorney was contacted and charges were accepted for
Assault Family Violence Impeding Breathing. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 16, 2011, Senior Sergeant Russell
arrested a
24-year-old male after a
traffic stop on IH-45. During the course of the
traffic stop, it was found that the driver had two suspensions on his license. The suspect was taken into custody, charged with
Driving While License Invalid, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 16, 2011, Senior Sergeant Russell observed a vehicle traveling at 80-85 mph on IH-45 North. Senior Sergeant Russell conducted a
traffic stop and made contact with the driver,
21- year-old male from
The Woodlands, who stated that he was headed home from a friend’s house. The driver had a strong odor of an
alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath, and after a poor performance on the Standardized Field
Sobriety Tests, was taken into custody, transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with
Driving While Intoxicated.
District 6:
On March 15, 2011, Deputy Epperson
arrested 20-year-old male from
Conroe after a
traffic stop for speeding (60 mph in a 30 mph zone) on Donwick Drive. The suspect was found to have a
suspended license and
prior convictions for driving while
license suspended. The suspect was taken into custody, charged with
Driving While License Invalid, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 16, 2011, Deputy Borchardt observed a
suspicious vehicle in front of the closed Exxon on Research Forest Drive. The driver,
45-year-old male from Wichita, KS, was unable to locate his driver’s license, but did find the rental agreement for the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, it was found that the driver had consumed several alcoholic beverages that evening. The driver agreed to perform several Standardized Field
Sobriety Tests, and at the conclusion of the tests, was taken into custody for
Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
3/16 – Deputy Houstoun
arrested a
14 year old female from
Conroe for
Shoplifting at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. The suspect attempted to take $65 worth of perfume from Sears. The suspect was taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County
Juvenile Detention Facility without incident.
3/16 – Deputy Houstoun
arrested a
15 year old female from
Conroe and a
16 year old female from
Houston for
Shoplifting at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. The suspects attempted to take $250.00 worth of clothing from Sears. The suspects were taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County
Juvenile Detention Facility without incident.
On March 18, 2011, Deputy Dewey stopped at the Exxon on Panther Creek Pine and observed a vehicle with an excessive number of passengers. Deputy Dewey made contact with the driver and explained that it was illegal to transport more passengers in the vehicle that it is equipped with seatbelts. When asked for his driver’s license, the driver,
20-year-old male from
Tomball, stated that he did not have one. Deputy Dewey asked and found
marijuana in the driver’s pocket. The driver was taken into custody for
Possession of
Marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
3/18 – Deputy Koonce
arrested a
20 year old female from
The Woodlands, for
Shoplifting at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect attempted to take $79.34 worth of
merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspect was taken into custody charged with
Theft, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
3/19 - Deputy Weatherford
arrested two
15-year-old females from Willis for
Shoplifting at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive. Three suspects attempted to take $664.65 worth of clothing and jewelry from JC Penny’s. When the Loss Prevention Officer attempted to detain the suspects, a parent intervened and began
yelling at the loss prevention officer. At one point, the loss prevention officer was punched in the stomach. Two of the suspects left the scene and went to their vehicle. More
merchandise from other stores was located in the vehicle. One of the suspects,
16-year-old female from Willis did not return to the scene. The two
15 year old suspects were taken into custody charged with
Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, and transported to the Montgomery County
Juvenile Detention Facility without further incident.
On March 19, 2011, Deputy Conklin
arrested a
35-year-old male from
The Woodlands for
Public Intoxication and
Disorderly Conduct. The suspect was seen staggering across Waterway Avenue and down the stairs to the waterway level. Deputy Conklin located the suspect under the bridge
urinating in the water. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
