The Woodlands Police Blotter for 03/10/2011:
District 2:
On February 28, 2011, Deputy Zavorski
arrested a
29-year-old male from Montgomery, after a
traffic stop on the southbound feeder road of Interstate 45. During the course of the
traffic stop, Deputy Zavorski found the driver to have 5 grams of
marijuana in his
possession. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. The suspect also received a citation for the initial
traffic stop.
On February 28, 2011, Deputy Jobe was dispatched to a residence on Canyon cross for a
Family Violence call in progress. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant who stated that the suspect had struck her several times in the face when she tried to stop him from
screaming at her
mother. The suspect,
52-year-old male from
Conroe, was
arrested and charged with
Assault Family Violence, then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
On March 3, 2011, Sr. Sgt. Russell
arrested a
37-year-old male from
Houston, after a
traffic stop. The suspect was found to have nine active suspensions on his license and
no insurance for the vehicle he was driving. The suspect was
arrested for Drive While License Invalid and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
On March 3, 2011, Deputy Fruge responded to the McDonald’s at 25222 IH-45 in reference to an
Assault Family Violence. Upon arrival, Deputy Fruge met with the complainant and the suspect,
43-year-old male from
Houston. The two had met at McDonald’s to discuss a family matter when the suspect started
yelling at the complainant. When the complainant attempted to leave the suspect grabbed her by the arm. When the complainant tried to pull away, the suspect slapped her, causing her head to strike the wall. The suspect was taken into custody for
Assault Family Violence and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
District 6:
2/25 – Deputy Ansley
arrested an
18-year old male from Huntsville for
Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect attempted to take $190.00 worth of
merchandise from Macy’s. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
2/28 - Deputy Neal
arrested a
20-year-old female from Sugarland for
Theft at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect attempted to take $140.25 from Wal-Mart. The suspect selected several items throughout the store and concealed them in a Wal-Mart bag and then went to customer service and conducted a
fraudulent return of the items. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
On March 1, 2011, Sr. Sgt. Herring was working traffic enforcement on Maple Branch when he conducted a
traffic stop of a vehicle with an expired inspection certificate. As he approached the vehicle, a strong odor of burnt
marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During his interview of the driver
20-year-old female from
The Woodlands and her passengers,
19-year-old male from
The Woodlands and
21-year-old male from
Spring, it was found that all three had various amounts of
marijuana throughout the vehicle. All suspects were taken into custody, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail charged with
Possession of
Marijuana. Two of the suspects were also charged with
Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia.
On March 2, 2011, Deputy Prince and Deputy Hollan received information that a subject with an outstanding
warrant was at a location on Plum Blossom Place. Upon arrival, they were informed that the suspect
21-year-old female from
The Woodlands, had run out the back of the residence and jumping several fences
evading the deputies. Deputy Prince returned to the residence a few hours later and the suspect was located in an upstairs bedroom closet. The suspect was wanted on a
Theft Warrant out of Dallas County. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Additional charges for
Evading were added due to her running from deputies earlier in the evening.
On March 6, 2011, Deputy Underwood was dispatched to a
Disturbance in Progress call on W. Settler’s Way. Upon arrival, he found two people arguing in the front yard. During the course of the investigation the suspect,
21-year-old male from
The Woodlands, was found to have an outstanding
warrant for his
arrest. It was also found that the suspect was in
possession of .3 grams of
marijuana. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and booked on both the
warrant and
Possession of
Marijuana charges.
