THE WOODLANDS, TX: The
state's annual Sales Tax Free Holiday/Tax Free Weekend from state and
local sales taxes will begin on Friday, August 17 – Sunday, August 19.
The law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks
priced under $100 from sales and use taxes. Estimates show it could save
shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend. For more information on the
