How many people receive either of these papers (or another) at their home? I am wondering if more people in our area get local papers, the Chronicle, or just use the internet to get their news. I know we have a smallish group compared to overall population, and it may be biased because we're obviously all on this site already as a source of local events, but just curious.
We get the Villager delivered every Thursday and I usually page through it, but find that I have already heard about most of the stories on the internet. I don't think I would pay for that paper. Sometimes I think about getting a subscription for just the Sunday Chronicle--mostly for the coupon sections.
Thanks! This helps. We were talking about getting some ads for an annual fundraising event for work, but it kind of seems like people are getting their news elsewhere. Where do you typically find out about community events? I know everyone in The Woodlands gets The Woodlands Community Magazine and Community Impact Newspaper, both of which I do find myself reading and getting good information from.
We had the Sunday paper delivered for a few months, but, like everyone else, it never got openend and went to the trash. It was a pain in the neck. Everything is online these days.
I don't receive it but would like to, especially since my son was pictured in it for Special Olympics participation this past weekend. I don't even know where to buy one, so I usually read it online. I emailed about a subscription yesterday but have not received an answer yet. Hopefully I will by the end of the week.
