I was shocked at my polling place at the number of people rushing towards me with their leaflets in their hands as I walked to the school to vote. It was obnoxious!!!! And, I must say, they were all Republican. Voting is a private thing. This was the first time they had voting at this site and, even the precinct workers were surprised at the amount of people and signs outside. They didn't know they were coming. It is very disrespectul on their part to be harrassing voters that way. I would think the same thing if it was the Democrats doing it. Sheeeeeeeeesh, enough is enough!!!

Do you really want me to believe that only Republicans hand out sample ballots at these places? I'll bet less than 20% of registered voters participate in this and the people looking for "FREE" handouts are waiting for the Presidential election.

The only signs I saw were for Rebulican candidates. They had them peppered all over the area they had put up a gazebo sized cover for their lawn chairs. They had hundreds of signs for the same candidates, which is why I know they were Republican.........I can read!

This area is overwhelming Republican. Even if you're not a Republican, you'd be best requesting a Republican ballot because who wins the primary will win the general.

Just curious, how would one vote by mail. What if your ballet gets lost in the mail?

I think you have to be at least 65 to get permanent absentee ballot access. It's one more step to disenfranchise us whippersnappers.

I'm glad to hear someone has faith in the US postal system. My mail always end up several houses down, I sure wouldn't trust them with my ballot.

What if your ballot is received by someone else and they decide to cast a vote for you?

The beloved postal system sent my voters registration card, but we did not receive DH's card. Supposedly they were sent out the same day.

I never thought about anyone casting my ballot for me

Our neighborhood is very good about returning mail that was left in their box, for some reason. We have one of those community mailboxes and, often, mail gets put in someone else's box.
