Plain and simple .... if you need ID to board an airplane and drive a car you should need ID to vote.

You need photo ID's to vote in Mexico and other countries, why not here?

I agree totally. I have no issue with voter ID. My issue is with PA and how they are going about implementing their voter ID law. Everyone should have some type of legitimate picture ID. You will get no argument on that point from me.

Unfortunely, people who cannot afford cars don't have driver's licenses. Have you ever gone to a DPS place recently? It is a nightmare. I have gotten licenses from Texas before with none of the hassel. You have to have many forms of ID to just get a license. Now, take an older person who hasn't had a birth certificate given to them in 80 years. You never had to have a birth certificate to get a driver's license. Some people born in homes or areas of the country where a midwife delivered them, don't even have records. One woman who cleaned my house for years was from Mississippi and that was the case with her. She was African/American and lived in a very poor area of Miss. So, when she got her deceased husband's retirement, she had to get something, neighbors, etc, to verify her birth. Now, people who are old or in wheelchairs, just can't go through this, but, have other forms of ID through the years that might not be on the list. It is not just as simple as showing your driver's license. That is all I have done when I vote, also, but, I can see how this can keep some people from voting.

Hmm...so you are again saying that government is inefficient? I agree with you, we should privitize the DMV.

I don't know how that will help with the current laws.

I doubt that dog would have a valid picture ID.

I realize that! A picture ID will stop the dog from voting.

The big picture is what we have to look at. People can always find crazy stuff to support their point. The facts are, there is very little voter fraud and a lot of voter suppression being put into law.

No ID necessary, there is NO voter fraud....just ask ACORn.....don't we give money to ACORN.

No need to worry about healthcare either...obama will take care of our health, buy gas for our car and pay the house note.

What more could anyone ask for. Hopefully he will give us each an allowance to spend each month so that we can cure the failing economy.
