Looks like Trader Joe's finally got the message! Their first Texas store will be in the Dallas area, but I can't imagine that there won't be one in The Woodlands eventually. Heck, even if it's only in Houston I'd probably go every once in a while. I like Trader Joe's but more for random, occasional items than every week shopping.
The article below is pretty interesting.
I am thrilled! We shopped at TJ's when we lived in California. Great wines, cheese, nuts, and speciality items. It was always fun to shop there because of the quirky writeups and the exotic offerings!
They have some really neat stuff. Love the "two buck chuck"! We brought back 12 bottles of wine with us on an airplane from California. We went to a resale shop and bought a cheap old suitcase and wrapped each bottle in bubble wrap and brought it back (of course the days before they charged an arm and a leg for suitcases). Trader Joe's wouldn't ship to Texas. Glad to see they are coming here!
