I do my best to obey the rules. There are alot of aggressive drivers on the road and I try to stay out of their way. Iam rarely late for anything, but if traffic causes me to be late, so be it.

I do wish drivers would stay off of their phones while driving. Texting while driving is truly dangerous.

Yes, they texting drives me nuts. People sit at the lights and never know it's changed. My car has built in bluetooth so if I absolutely have to talk I have that, but I hate talking on the phone while driving anyway so I always just tell them I'll call back.

Sometimes I wonder if people took basic drivers ed because they don't know rules of the road, especially crossovers.

I have to giggle to myself seeing drivers like that...man, gas must be cheap! Driving like that does cost extra $$$$. Enjoy burning it up. I'm bad about thinking anyone driving slower than me is a dork, and anyone driving faster than me is a idot!!! HUM!

To JJthejetplane:

I drive the speed limit and I hardly pass others. Of course If I'm driving the speed limit how can I pass myself??? There is nothing in Texas law that says that I can't pass those who are driving the speed limit. But I drive the speed limit so I won't be passing them anytime soon. I'm not rushing, nor do I live in The Woodlands. So I don't see who you presume to be rushing. I haven't tailgated since I was 20 when I learned it wasn't nice to do. Since I'm past 20 years old, why do you think I'm on my Daddy's insurance?
I have never been on Daddy's insurance. 'Stupid' expensive cars are those cars that rush ahead of everyone and have to put on their brakes quickly because they thought it was 'just for show'. I stay away from these people. There is a video on YouTube of two of these 'stupid' expensive cars having a race on the Woodlands Pkwy and both of them wrecked….I heard their daddies bought them a new one. I buy my own things thank you.
I don't want to know you personally either thanks….had enough of your retorts. The only one who seems threatened here is you. There is no justification in driving the speed limit. Guess you missed the original point.
We drive our family as safe as possible as well, while watching the others around us. We get a normal 10-15 minute head start of the normal drive time so we don't have to sit in traffic or what not. The safety of other families has always been my top concern, I don't see where you get off thinking that it is not. Besides, remember. I don't live in The Woodlands. Although a majority of my friends do and I'd hate to think if I was accidently the cause of any harm to them for something stupid I may have done….Thank goodness I stay in the speed limit and drive as a rightful Texan should….Upset much?

haHa...i think the same thing...also I don't like people when they are texting and driving. isn't it supposed to be 10 and 2, not cellphone and steering wheel? grrs....i put my phone up where i cant use it while driving. I'm not a big texter but still if someone calls me I'd rather stay in one piece than try to catch a phone call and have a wreck.

Let's just say he is now a resident of the Montogomery County Jail. 7th DUI Charge, he was pilled up when he hit my wifes car and took off, leading the Sherrifs officer on a 10 minute low speed chase, at 10 mph. Nice.

That is such a crazy thing to do. I'm glad it was low speed. Great they caught him.

I've been hit and the driver took off. They don't always get caught.

With 7 DUI's they should put his a$$ in prison and keep him there before he kills someone.

The legal system is the real problem.

Will he be back behind the wheel 6 months from now?

"Sometimes I have to drive agressively to get away from the rest of you lols."

From Prior Post. Again, if you drive aggressively to pass others you are upset.

"I drive the speed limit and I hardly pass others. Of course If I'm driving the speed limit how can I pass myself???"

This is a contradiction to your prior post. If you pass others aggressively who are driving slower and going the speed limit you are speeding.

"There is nothing in Texas law that says that I can't pass those who are driving the speed limit."

Transportation Code Section 545.352 Prima Facie Speed limits
(a) A speed in excess of the limits established is prima facie evidence that the speed limit is not reasonable and prudent and that the speed is unlawful.

In other words, if the speed limit is 45 mph on Woodlands pkwy and you drive 46 mph, technically, you are speeding and breaking the law.

"There is a video on YouTube of two of these 'stupid' expensive cars having a race on the Woodlands Pkwy and both of them wrecked…"

This seems like an isolated incident in which it has no relevancy to you. However, I can see how you wanted to add this story to make you appear to be "more" innocent in comparison to them?

"I don't want to know you personally either thanks…."

I never said I don't want to know you. I simply stated that I don't need to know you. Furthermore, You continue to prove my reasoning on this.

." The only one who seems threatened here is you."

Not quite sure where this came from, but it seems like the hostility is coming from your end?

"There is no justification in driving the speed limit."

This pretty much sums it up about you. It's statements like this that should be enough evidence alone to not allow potential driver's to acquire a driver's license to begin with.

"Guess you missed the original point."

Please enlighten me on what point I seem to have missed. The only ones that matter are the rules and laws of the transportation code that you seem to be in a unique position to bend.

"We drive our family as safe as possible as well, while watching the others around us."

I just don't believe this if you are speeding and driving aggressively. The only time you watch others around you are when you pass them while they must be driving the speed limit.

"We get a normal 10-15 minute head start of the normal drive time so we don't have to sit in traffic or what not."

Again, why speed and drive aggressively?

"The safety of other families has always been my top concern, I don't see where you get off thinking that it is
not."
Prove it by not driving aggressively.

"Thank goodness I stay in the speed limit and drive as a rightful Texan should…."

Rightful? Seems like you are self righteous.

Upset much? Your words, not mine. Cute touch though.

"Sometimes I have to drive agressively to get away from the rest of you lols."

You do not know how to joke. Lighten up, this community (thewoodlandstx.com forums) are a happy place. stop being so serious, goodness....

if the speed limit is 45 on the woodlands parkway then im going the speed limit of 45.

i used the youtube video as an example, no use in plastering everyone else's business on the internet...these persons got caught.

um you mentioned that i was threatening to someone, go reread your original post.....way............back there.

the point that you missed is that i obey the law to the t and without disregard...i do what i do normally on an everyday basis, drive within the law.

i never said i was speeding. and you just cant take a joke about people supposedly driving aggressively...

why are you going to pick at my 10-15 minute ahead leave time? You said you did the same with your family. please reread your post.

I have proven it. I don't drive aggressively. If I had im sure i would have gotten a ticket for it. I have a clean record for past 10 years.

All Texans should drive the speed limit.

I'm not upset much.

I will say this. You have moot points because I don't drive aggressive. and you can't take a joke....oh well....NEXT!!!!
