It seems like the political scene is getting way beyond the realm of reason.

It depends on what you read and what you recognize as truth.

Good point Silly ... not much truth coming out of anyone's mouth so far. This will be one of the dirtiest campaigns in history.

But this isn't black magic or voodoo - the facts are the facts and we can evaluate what those facts suggest in terms of the state of our political system.

For example - Randi Shannon did exactly what is described in the linked article - you can find her resignation letter (referencing the United States Corporation!) on her official website (http://shannonforsenate.com/images/Randi-Shannon-Letter.pdf)

And Michele Bachmann's witch hunt was well publicized and in fact heavily criticized on the floor by one John McCain.

And the critical thinking language is definitely in the TX Republican Platform report because they've since stated that its inclusion (although ratified by the convention) was a mistake.

So yes, we do have to be careful about sorting truth from fiction but that doesn't mean we should reject things just in case they are not true!

Check out the big brain on Matt. This guy is on the ball. The US is a corporation and belongs to an elite club. A big club and U AINT IN IT! Every year everyone votes for these wealthy sap suckers who dont give a fart about you. You better enjoy this crummy system we have cause theres a reason education sucks and it aint gonna get any better folks. Now they are coming for your social security and your vanishing pension that disapears when you go to collect it. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street and you know something, they'll get it, they'll get it all from you sooner or later. The table is tilted folks, the game is rigged - nobody seems to notice - nobody seems to care, better wake up folks or be doomed....

I wouldn't read anything that came out of Boston.

@SusanHuang

I agree with your statement but think it is the banking industry that should be blamed. I think there are very few in Washington that have the our best interest at heart. I believe we need to start electing people that will uphold the constitution and understand that this country was created to operate on very little government.

Your money isn't just going to Wall Street, there is a lot on money going out of the country. When Obama talks about redistribution of wealth, he wasn't talking about giving it to poor Americans, this is where he fooled the black voter. His goal is to take money from the colonialist countries and give it to other countries. Why do you think he basically stopped offshore drilling yet gives billions to Mexico and Brazil to drill offshore.

When did Obama stop offshore drilling? I understood he expanded it.

He stopped issuing permits after the BP incident. And no he didn't expand it, maybe in Mexico and Brazil.

In Texas we were able to retain control of what we call state waters which I believe is 9 miles out. Since I'm not in the oil & gas business anymore I don't know how much Obama's offshore drilling ideas affect our state waters. When I worked in oil & gas, the Federal Government did not affect our state waters.
