The Icelandic Economic Recovery

Many nations were hit hard by the economic crisis beginning in 2008. One of those hardest hit was Iceland. Unlike the United States and the nations of the European Union, Iceland took a different approach. While the other nations took money from the people to give to the banks, Iceland let the banks fail.

Iceland faced scorn by more powerful nations as investors in those nations lost money. Iceland stood its ground. The banks failed and many bankers were prosecuted.

My question is this: For the evangelicals, why is nobody saying that God has blessed Iceland? There's plenty that think God is condemning those who are hit by natural disasters, but crickets chirp on Iceland.

Who did Jesus stand up to? The moneychangers. He had compassion for everyone else, but got angry when it came to the moneychangers.

I have to agree. I have often wondered if it would have been better to let the banks fail.

What do the evangelicals have to do with the 2008 financial crisis?

What point we're you trying to make?

You don't have a clue about Iceland and the financial crisis of 2008.

Ok Woodchuck, instead of speaking in platitudes, please explain to me, in your words, about Iceland and financial crisis of 2008.
