Sadler Clinic Controversy...

Have you seen the Sadler Clinic controversy going on lately? I only learned about it after seeing my doctor about two weeks ago, and finding out that he would be leaving Sadler shortly.

I guess many physicians have been fired or quit Sadler recently.

Now Sadler is claiming "a group of 'dissident' physicians embarked on a scheme designed to bring financial ruin on the medical facility, the clinic alleges in two counterclaims filed last week.".

Sadler also submitted "documentation" to back it up:

"If we all resign this week, together, I personally feel that the Clinic will be dealt a blow that will eventually be fatal,' states one of several messages in the claim. 'This needs to be precise and organized ... professional and surgical in nature. Anyway, talk is cheap ... lets (sic) resign as a group in an organized fashion and bring down the hammer."

The 17 physicians who have filed suit against Sadler are: Peet, Kerschenbaum Robertson, James E. Baker, Jody Caldwell, Martin Vestal Caperton, Paul Wayne Decker, Amy Farmer, Altaf Karim, Kevin Keyes, Robert Jeremy Laningham, Rodney Jason Laningham, Farenc Markos, Randall Val Martin, John Joseph Peet, Matthew Simpson and Steve P. Stowers.

My doctor also gave me this web site, to get ahold of your doctor after he/she has left Sadler:
Where Did My Doctor Go - http://www.wheredidmydoctorgo.com/

As a side note: when I went about two weeks ago, the Sadler facility looked really run down. I wonder how this will turn out for them.

From Twitter:

Tamara_Allen:
@TheWoodlandsTex It's about conflicts of interest, not quality of doctoring. I've seen the worst Sadler Clinic has to offer, and.....

Tamara_Allen:
@TheWoodlandsTex ...believe me, if it's about quality, these are not the doctors who should be leaving.

mebdes:
@TheWoodlandsTex I'm going to see one of the doctors next week, she'll be leaving after May 5. I'll let you know if I find out anything....

This doesn't sound very good. My boyfriend sees a doctor at the Sadler Clinic on FM 3083.

I love protests. So exciting! I see Dr. Karim over there... I wonder if she's leaving.

I've been going to the Sadler Clinic since I was in high school... Haven't been in a year or so though.

go to www.wheredidmydoctorgo.com for some information. Someone left us a message on our home machine with our doctors cell phone number to be reached for emergencies, and then a number that he could be reached at as of May 7th.

With all the legal wrangling going on, I hope the Sadler physicians aren't out of commission for too long...

I was a patient at Sadler until my insurance was denied by the because they would only accept Texas Healthspring and not my Humana. I protested up to the CEO at that time and was given a copy of Medicare and You booklet for advice. Now, it looks like I might get to go back to my old doctor. I'm glad that Sadler is having their problems. They are acting like a big business corporation instead of medical facility to provide healthcare to PEOPLE!!! Jim F

i'll definately be following my doctor wherever she goes. I don't have any affiliation to the Sadler clinic. I went there because I liked my doctor.

Oh my Gosh.... I just recommended a Dr. at Sadler Clinic to someone on this website. I wonder if anyone knows if Dr. Grogan is staying. She is one of the best doctors I've ever had! I would be so so sad to lose her!

There is a list on that website of the doctors who will no longer be at the Sadler Clinic.

We lost every one of the doctors we use. I now have to find several new doctors and I'm not happy about it. I had Kershenbaum for 10+ years and loved him.

I noticed that a lot of doctors are leaving the area. I hope that Dr. Johnny J. Peet will still stay in The Woodlands. He's a great doctor and takes time to actually listen to his patients. Hopefully this whole situation will be sorted out soon as possible.

I am sure most doctors will stay in the area. They themselves probably live in the Montgomery County area. Their first priority will be their patients.
