I don't know that anyone went on a praising Romney rant but when choosing between him or Obama, the clear choice is Romney. You are simply attacking the fact that Romney wasn't honest but I seriously doubt that you are honest 100% of the time. It's really a pointless attack and argument. Obviously many of us have already voted and you won't be changing our minds with your measly little article. I think some people come on here specifically just to look for a fight. I have more important things to do
I will certainly repeat what I have said before...I think Romney is a great family man. I believe he is HONEST and will be a great leader. If Romney wins, I will be expecting a lot more integrity in the White House than we have seen in the last 4 years.
Romney deliberately chose to give the impression that Jeep was moving manufacturing jobs from Ohio to China. I'm sure he knew that it wasn't true but he chose to embrace the lie. One wonders under which exception to the Mormon canon of ethics that lie falls.
This should give folks a clue to the candidate's character. Beneath that death's head grin resides a situational moralist. Not that most politicians don't fit this bill. However, the reason that Romney should never have been allowed to attain power of any kind, economic or political, is that he is a psychopath. He has an intellectual knowledge of empathy but no emotional resonance. The thousands of Americans (particularly exemplified by the GST steel bankruptcy) whose lives he destroyed financially while taking millions of dollars in profit himself are testimony to that fact.
Fortunately, the current polls show Obama with more than enough electoral votes to win but if Americans don't recognize and repudiate the inhuman coldness embodied by Romney, radical right-wing Republicans will just promote another baleful candidate of this type in four years, perhaps the awful Mitt redux.
Also, from what most of my contacts in the Texas Democratic Party have told me, in 2016, Texas will be a blue swing state. So, enjoy the red while it lasts.

The Economist ran a story on that a little while ago - basically the population growth in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio is projected to swing the state to a narrow Democrat leaning state.
My friend who is chair of the Harris county democrats told me that 25 percent of the vote is currently coming from Harris County. He, also, predicted 2016 as the last Republican majority. Even if slim, it will change our state and local governing, too.

Imagine that a dem would say that. FYI,
The worst year the GOP had statewide in TX was in 2004 with a 10% gap. 2006 and 2008 were great years for Democrats, but the gap grew to 13%. The most recent polls show that Cruz is up by 18%.

If the GOP continues to lean further and further right while the Texas urban centers continue to grow quickly then it's not inconceivable that the balance could shift.
