My company is going to have something very special at the Red, Hot and Blue Festival. We will be located by Bar Louie. Stop by and say hi!!!! Blair and John, you need to bring the kids! Hayho...come see me.
It appears that I have successfully removed "Born in the USA" from next years firework music! Whew! The music director had never really paid attn to the song and didn't notice that it is truely anti-American.

You mean the Bruce Springsteen song "Born in the USA"?

Yes that is the one djohn is talking about
Well it's not anti American. It's not meant to be a patriotic song, it was written from the viewpoint of a Vietnam Vet coming back to the US and how they were treated, the treatment they received was very Anti American. I don't know who came up with the idea it was Anti American but apparently they never really listened to the lyrics or heard the story behind it.
He claimed he was kicked down from the beginning. With all of the greatness of this nation socialists like Springsteen have to work hard to break our spirit.
It was written from the experiences of a Vietnam Vet, you have to learn the history of the song before you can judge it. Do you know how Vietnam Vets were treated when they came back here? If you look at it from that perspective which is the way it was written then you will see it's not Anti American but it was not written as a patriotic song. The Vet came back and was kicked to the ground although HE was born in the USA. I think someone is reading WAY too much into this song and misinterpreted what it was meant for.
I'm not a Springsteen fan, but I do know if you listen to the song and know something about the history of the Vietnam war and the vets that came home then you would understand the song itself.
