Haven't actually checked the temp but it feels warm. I know my hot tub which is not part of the pool has a temp of 95 and it's under an awning. Pool water is warm but still feels good as hot as it is outside. We don't have much shade over our pool in the middle of the day, early morning we have a lot of shade.
I don't think the pool is that hot, we have a nice breeze in our back yard it feels warm when you get in but it is actually nice, especially if you've be out doing yard work.

We looked into a pool cooler and it was quite expensive- I dont think it is worth it
We are thinking about a heater and the pool guy said you could get a chiller/heater but the water isn't too hot to keep us out, I'm not sure a chiller would be worth it. The heater on the other hand, we have some warm Novembers but the water is cool, and Spring break sometimes the water is cool.
I def suggest a heater, I could not imagine not having one. We are able to get in our pool in feb and March and stay in our pool til December if we want. With the nice weather we have sometimes those months it is great to be able to get in the pool and use it year round!
I was thinking of getting a heater this winter. We had to stay out of the pool for 5 months until it got warm enough. I would really use it. Where did you get yours, Lilypad? Did you buy it after the pool was in or when you installed it. I have heard they run about $5000.
I want to say they told us $3000 when we put our pool in but that could have been if we put it in with the pool. We are going to check after the first of the year and see about what it will cost. But the actual heaters themselves are only about $1500 we looked them up via the internet.

If you find a good price, will you let me know? I am checking around, too, and will alert you if I find something good.
We went to Warehouse Pool Supply this weekend. It's in the Portofino Center next to Buffalo Wild Wings. They had pool heaters from $950 and up. They will give you a list of companies that will do the installation. There are reasonable heaters out there, next would be to find out how much these guys charge to install them.
I know they will have to run a gas line and electricity so that's where a lot of the installation costs will come from. We intend on getting a gas one. Our pad is already big enough as we had them pour the pad in case we decided to get a heater, just wish we would have gone ahead and done it when we put the pool in.
