He talked to a group the very next day after the debate, loudly, joking and criticizing stuff Romney said during the debate. Where was all that during the debate? He had little of substance to say in the debate, and much of what he said almost seemed made up, like his comment about tax breaks given to companies that relocate overseas...huh?
And, Romney was actually respectful of him, just stated his case that's it.
I agree. If it was a boxing match, they would have stopped it after 15 minutes.
The next debate could be more of the same. Obama concentrates on his small handpicked audiences on his campaign stops. Then he embarrassed himself in front of 61 million americans.
Not likely...you can be sure the host of the President's advisers are going to analyze and drill into the President's head new ways to combat Romney in the next debate...I doubt he's going to do as poorly next time. President Obama will realize he can't wing-it on natural charm. That's my prediction, at least.
what would happen if an incumbent president decides not to run after he is chosen by the party ? What if something changes between the DNC (or RNC) and election day ? I wonder if the vice pres steps up or does the party find another candidate ? I am wondering if maybe he doesn't want another term. If he were ill or something, and didn't want the public to know, I would think the party bosses would find someone else really quickly. The bush girls did it, but it can't be easy to be a young teen and pre-teen and be in the spotlight like they are. Although, I think everyone is doing an excellent job of leaving his children out of all the muddy political waters. It can't be an easy life for kids, especially these days. Maybe Michelle wants out ? It was so odd to watch that debate. Something seemed off.
Interesting analysis. It appears his beautiful girls are enjoying themselves. I don't think Michelle wants out either.
He looked totally unprepared. I thought he seamed a bit embarrassed at times. His record is hard to defend. Romney was very blunt and forceful, but in a nice way. I think he was kind of taken back by it.
He does have a full time job running the country as well as debating. Having to run for office and do all the things a President of either side has to do, must be terribly taxing.

I think he has pretty much let the full time job go since January. His full time job is campaigning.
No president can full time campaign. They are on the phone daily with advisers either on the ground or in the air. They have to go back to Washington if something is happening worth returning. Romney doesn't even have a job other than campaigning.

While I agree he does have a full time job, and I am sure it has been stressful. He has not been working at that fulltime job the past month or two. I am also not saying he is not taking it seriously, just that he is getting his fair shair of campaigning in. Every president going for re-election has done this.
Though I would have 10x more respect for him had he stopped campaigning when the terrorist attacks hit Libya and focused on that, rather than trying to cover it up. Hillary has some blame on this too.
I also think he looks tired and worn out. It really showed at that debate. It has also shown recently at his press conferences.
Almost like he is saying "If you win, you have no idea how hard and taxing this job is. Good luck if you get it. I won't mind if you do."And I wouldn't really blame him either.

"of 2009".....love the fix....lol!
Where is the outrage about someone changing your comments?
Last time this happened people were calling for blood!

Sorry, although I agree that posts should not be changed or "fixed" and had never seen it done before until I saw it done on here, I found humor in this "fix."

I think you are right about him possibly being tired. Even Hillary looks really tired. I know that GWB was not on his game after his first term. I sometimes wonder why anyone would want the job as there is so much to do and so much criticism from the 24/7 loop. So, it seems to be like housework in the sense that it is a thankless job no matter which party you belong to.
