"H-E-B has purchased a 14.6 acre site for its third location in The Woodlands.
Richard Golden, director of real estate for the Houston division of H-E-B, said The Woodlands has been a very successful market for the San Antonio-based grocer and he looks forward to expanding H-E-Bís presence in the community.
The Woodlands Development Company was represented in the sale by Todd Edmonds and Cody Christoph of Colliers International.
The newest H-E-B will be located at FM 1488 and Kuykendahl Road.
H-E-B, with sales of more than $15 billion, operates more than 300 stores in Texas and Mexico."
Seriously - HEB is my favorite. The one on Sawdust is kind of icky, in my opinion, but the one on Woodlands Parkway and Kuykendahl is really nice.
They have fresher produce, better selection, and better prices than all the other chains. Especially Randall's. I actually don't even know why Randall's is still in business-- maybe only because they say "Thank you, Mr. <insert last name<" when you leave?
Yeah, I love HEB. Since moving from Michigan a couple years ago I use to always go to Kroger every week, that was my main grocery store. Since moving to Texas all I shop is HEB with a little bit of Randall's here and there.

The Cerberus-led group has acquired 661 operating stores and 100 percent of the distribution centers and offices in Albertsonísí Dallas/Fort Worth division and in the Florida, Northern California, Rocky Mountain and Southwestern regions. The businesses acquired by the Cerberus-led group will operate under the ownership of Albertson's LLC as the successor to Albertson's, Inc. And, as previously announced, Robert Miller will lead the Boise-based company as its Chief Executive Officer.
ďBeing part of a smaller, privately held organization, we can now accomplish things at the local level that were not practical before. We will have a more targeted focus on what is right for the customer and be able to make those decisions much more quickly and closer to them,Ē Miller commented.
I agree about Whole Foods in The Woodlands. We really need something other than HEB and Kroger when it comes to organic food, range fed beef, etc. I really hope The Woodlands will consider letting WF in to our market.
