For those of you who live in Creekside, the YMCA will have a grand opening for the new wellness center (fitness for us old folks)mid Sept. If you have not seen that facility, you should take a look. The facility is different from the two YMCAs in The Woodlands, with outdoor adventure areas, teepees, outdoor amphitheater and more. There are also great special events for the kids.
We do offer classes in the morning and evening. Check online at http://www.ymcahouston.org/links/creeksidegroupexerc This schedule will change and more classes offered at prime times effective August 27th. You can take classes like BODYPUMP, BODYFLOW, Spinning etc.

I cannot get your link to come up. Will there be any aerobics for seniors? The one they have now is so far away. It is at the one by Krogers on Research and Gosling.
I have driven by the Creekside Y and been curious about the trails and the tee pee's. When it is cooler, I plan to take a walk back in there to see what they have.

Is this a new building or just a new service offered from the existing building? I know the ultimate plan for the Y is to have a second building purely for gym and related stuff but I didn't think it was going to be built soon.

I think she was referring to the existing building, but, not certain. I have not seen any new construction over there.
We go to the Y on Ashlan/Woodlands Pkwy. and haven't gotten a chance to see the new Creekside one yet. Before I had my son, I used to take some step classes at the one in Cochran's Crossing. It was pretty dated, but the Sterling Ridge one is very nice. I wish it had an indoor pool though. I think only the Cochran's one has an indoor pool.
