I am the OP and I am not troll or trying to stir the pot. I am trying to get information from those that live in TW. Not from the surrounding areas. I am moving in the next two months, and thought it would be a great idea to join the forum. Now I am starting to second guess that. I appreciate your honesty in answering my questions. However, I do feel that the attitude seems a bit "snobby" towards anyone that lives in TW and wants to embrace in living in a community that was clearly designed to be a self sufficient community. I would be proud to live there and have enjoyed visiting many times. I have met some great people that live there and seem to have the same appreciation that I do regarding all that the Woodlands offers. My intention is not to start an argument, but to get honest answers from those living in TW.
Clearly, I have struck a nerve with those that live outside TW. I apologize if I have offended anyone.

Thanks,

Sorry SC, I can't leave this alone. You state that the "snobby" attitude is towards people that live in the Woodlands. In a previous post you stated that people who don't live in TW "proper" should stop trying to be something that they aren't. Sounds kind of snobby to me..
In the 16 years I have lived in The Woodlands "proper", it's that type of "snobby" attitude that turns people off. Go visit the post office before you move. It says "Spring Tx 77381"
Some folks move here and act like the're living in Beverly Hills or Aspen. Most of the residents don't act that way, but the newer areas tend to have more of an upper class attitude.
Why should it matter where someone says they live. No offence, but it sounds kinda snooty to get offended because someone tells everyone the live in TW or what ever neighborhood when they actually live across the tracks.
I live in Imperial Oaks but do most of my shopping and activitties in The Woodlands. I love The woodlands and surounding area.
There is a lot of information in other cities, as well as ours, about The Woodlands. I don't think it is an unreasonable question to ask what the boundaries of The Woodlands are. This township is being modeled in other areas. Sc0628, I think you will love living here. The neighborhoods are very diverse and there are loads of things to explore and activites that match everyone's interests. I have found the people to be extremely friendly.
