Have any of you looked at this oh so fabulous states rankings.....YEAH NOT SO FABULOUS! or GREAT!
we are #1 in teenage birth rate
we have the lowest % of ppl over 25 with a HS diploma
% of uninsured children - 1st
% of overweight children - 5th
% of populaton uninsured - 1st
crime rate - 8th
% of voting-age population that votes - 50th (lowest out of 50 states)
average credit score - 50th
air pollution - 1st
amt of toxic chemicals released into water - 1st
released into air - 5th
amt of recognized cancer causing carinogems released into air - 1st
% living below federal poverty level - 3rd
% of population w/ food insecurity - 3rd
% of population that visit dentist - 43rd (LMFAO)
% of women living in poverty - 3rd
the list just goes on and on....
but hey, the good thing -
tax revenue raised per capita - 49th
BUT
tax expenditures per capita - 50th
geez - I am texas born and raised but after seeing this: not so proud! sorry, bash me if you want but still not so proud!
