What a tragedy, how can people be so sick and not seek help? This guy shoots his wife then kills self and his two children were in the home. Sad as sad can be, wrong kind of fireworks on Memorial Day.

I'm thankful he did not kill the children too! I will never understand these murder suicides. People lose hope, people don't want the divorce.....I guess they cannot cope with the loss, but nothing good ever comes from these type of actions. It is heartbreaking for those left behind.

And, another person who is carrying a gun. If a person has a protective order against him, that ought to be enough to take away his guns and put him on a list so he cannot buy one. Women are often the targets of these jealous men.

sstonetx, you are right. How can this man have a gun? And yeah, I'm also thankful he didn't shoot the kids.

What kind of a life will these poor kids have? They will carry these scars for the rest of their lives.

They will! Hopefully they will receive a lot of therapy to help them work through this tragedy.

As far as guns are concerned, the husband could have gotten the gun in many places, if he did not already own it.

If he brought a gun to her office, he had big problems. That would be enough, to my mind, to search his house and take the gun away from him. Then, put him on a list. Women are not protected enough from these raging maniacs who, "if they can't have them, nobody can".

Yeah I believe they are a little more lenient on people in his situation rather then per say someone who might be on probation or parole. Like others said he could have gotten the gun from anywhere though. Terrible situation for the kids especially for them to be there when it occured.

Hopefully they have a wonderful aunt or uncle or grandparents to take them in and raise them. I will definitely pray for the kids.

Very sad, but if it wasn't a gun it would have been a knife, brick, anti-freeze or what ever. Be for real, if someone wants to kill someone, not having a gun will stop them. Funny when someone gets butchered no one says " I can't believe that he was allowed to have a knife".

Yes, MRoss, I see your point, only, guns are the preferred way of murdering people. Just look at the evening news and who got shot and killed overnight. There are a lot of nuts going around with guns. So, that makes more people buy guns to protect themselves from the nuts, only in this group are more nuts. It is a vicious cycle.

It is a vicious cycle, BUT....if citizens are no longer allowed to own guns, then only the criminals will have them.

Sillystring, the criminals find those guns in home invasions. When was the last time you used your gun to protect yourself?
