Has anyone noticed how sick the Magnolia trees look this year? They are they another casualty of the drought?

Both of my magnolias took a hit but since we have had some rain, they are remarkably perking up! The leaves had thinned out and they looked very spindly before the rains.

I do too! We just had to replace most of the front yard and the backyard grass after this past year. Hopefully that rain will continue to come on a regular basis to ensure that our trees and lawns stay alive!

Yes, we have a sprinkler system but with rationing last year, it was not enough to save the grass.

Mine didn't bloom either. They were hit hard by the drought

Isn't it wonderful how lush all the plants and the big trees look this year? I was surprised, The Woodlands looks really nice. I thought the trees would be spindly with all the one's they had to clear out. It seems it gave them more room to grow outward. So, maybe the drought was not so bad, afterall.

The lake does does look amazing. Now they need to dredge some of the area that built up with dirt.

I wonder if the fishing will be better next year as the water is cleaner and will probably breed better fish. Also, there were a lot of weeds on the lake bottom where it was dry. Those are good for fish, too.
