Yeah but according to ART it's ok for OBAMA but not for any other candidate because we can make excuses for OBAMA.

It appears that Mitt has a problem with History of the World and Geography...Now what city is the capital of Israel...Has Sarah been coaching you Mitt?

And actually he doesn't have a problem with World Geography, the people of Israel call Jerusalem their capital, the Palestinians call Tel Aviv. Since World Geography is not what I teach I consulted someone who does teach the subject, so actually Romney wasn't mistaken.

http://www.timesofisrael.com/prime-ministers-office-

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-fa click on Major cities.

I don't have to cover it up, it's all over the internet about the capital. I just wanted to confirm it with someone who teaches the subject.

I could understand anyone having a gaff on some countries capitals because come countries seem to change things so quickly, just look at the break up of Russia. It seems like if I am looking at countries overseas I have to be really careful to check and double check because some countries are so volatile that things changes.

I have not really been on at all all weekend and this was the first thread that I clicked on! This is getting absolutely ridiculous. The PERSONAL ATTACKS by you ART have gone way too far. You have personally attacked quite a few people on this forum and the common denominator seems to be you. I do recall a conversation between us where you stated that I should stick to the facts....please start practicing what you preach.

Nobody can disagree with you. TxDeb simply stated that what's the difference between Obama not knowing how many states are in the country he has suppossedly lived in for his entire life, but Mitt stating the wrong capital of a country that is highly divided over the years as to which city is the capital depending on whether the Isralies are in control or the Palestinians. The Obama states thing was the first thing that came to my mind when I read your first post. Come on, if you are going to post something like that then expect people to differ in opinion from you.

Just because TxDeb talks politics on here doesn't mean that she talks it in her classroom. Same goes for me. Just because I talk politics on here, doesn't mean that I sit at the dinner table and talk politics with my kids (as that has been ASSUMED before)

We used to be able to talk politics on here without personally attacking each person. Attacking their candidate and attacking the poster are 2 entirely different things.

(I have been out of town so I don't know this story or what he said, nor do I care) Hmmm....not knowing the capital of Israel is a common problem

Or Obama who (supposedly) grew up in Hawaii, but doesn't know what continent it's on.

Djohn it was just that Romney said Jerusalem was the capital of Israel and if he followed the wish of Israel, he was right. Israel claimed Jerusalem as the capital in 1950. The rest of the world just won't acknowledge it officially.
