Since I do not have a "horse in the race" for TX Senator, I was wondering who you all are supporting and why? I have seen many ads on TV backing both Dewhurst and Cruz. I tend to not believe anything on TV and truly do not know anything about either candidate. Silly, djohn, Txdeb, txbuck anyone else...what are your views?
Well, they both seem to have the same issues, but Dewhurst has more experience in my opinion. He is our Lt. Governor. I'm still undecided there only time will tell.
As I said texbuck, I have no horse in the race. I am curious as to what ya'll think about each candidate and his qualifications. I am not familiar with either and am truly curious who is better qualified.

I like Ted Cruz. I like his constitutional conservative stance, plus we need to get some of the rhino's that have been in office too long out of there.
Plus there are a couple of things that Lt. Governor Dewhurst has done that I despise.
Thanks Blair and MRoss...I haven't lived in TX long enough to know anything about either of them and their positions; although, I must admit that I DID know Dewhurst was the Lt. Gov.
i'm glad you knew who he was!! Since I do teach Texas History and US History, I find it utterly appalling that my students have NO clue who our governor or Lt. Governor are. They just think the president runs everything!!
One thing that ticked me off about Dewhurst is he wanted to debate Cruz in spanish. English is the language of American's, if you can't speak english you shouldn't be given the right to vote.
Dewhurst killed the anti-groping bill. The guy is a RINO. He would follow orders from *itch McConnell and kowtow to Obamey (they're one and the same). Cruz is being promoted as a Paul/Lee/DeMint type, I'm still not too sure, but he does have my vote.
If you can somehow find the Fox 26 news live debate on the internet from last night, it was a good thing to watch. If I hadn't voted for Cruz yesterday before watching it, I certainly would have after watching it.
