Hi Y'all..

We are looking for a cleaning maid for a monthly house cleaning routine. Anyone you could suggest/refer? On a budget here... not to exceed $150 a month (its a 3,800 soft home)

You might have to raise your budget. I was paying $100/wk for 3100 sq ft 4 years ago.

Thanks, "thebug"... you are right. It's a "per clean" price I had mentioned.

I came across a few professional cleaning folks who quoted me $600 per clean. Methinks its exorbitant.. plus, I had a couple of wonderful maids (until their cell phones stopped working) who charged me $100 per clean... so, I don't think $150 is an unreasonable price.

the 3800 sqft is the issue and what type cleaning.

Maids will charge you less if they come every week, or that has been my experience.

If I paid $100/wk for 3100 sq ft 4 years ago, I would think 150 would not cover 3800 sq ft once a month. I still have a maid weekly, but a smaller house.

I hope you find one for 150 a month and good for you if you do. I'm not trying to argue just tell you what I paid.

Sometimes, if you can ask your neighbors, they will have a person who is not affiliated with a service that can be very good and in the price range you are quoting.
