Lived here for a year, have nice neighbors and have not had one problem. I work, shop, and go to church in the Woodlands. And yes some of my mail come addressed with The Woodlands on it. If you drive though here which I have many times its mostly families and there is quite a few law enforcement that lives in the neighborhood. Yes it's an older neighborhood but would much rather live here than an apartment anytime. Ive heard what goes on in the area apartments.
Only in the suburbs of Houston will a neighborhood built in the 1970s be referred to as older. I'm glad you like the neighborhood too. Are you also getting sick of the cops camping out on Glen Loch all the time?
i want to point something out. I'm the most taleneted actor at The Woodlands College Park high school, and i live in TIMBER LAKES. Am i still diseased and crime-ridden?

Actor, eh? Then you're probably a communist hippie on top of being diseased and crime-ridden.
Hey boooo I live in Panther Creek and we have had car break ins / house break ins and a garage drug bust. BTW We have lived in Panther Creek since 1989. Now buying from an original owner in TLTR. Every neighborhood has bad apples it is a matter of what the rest of the neighborhood is willing to put up with.
It's ashamed people have to be so elitist. Timberlakes/Timberidge was here long before the Woodlands. There are many good people who live there.
TImberlakes/Timberridge is not part of the Woodlands it has it's own HOA and isn't part of the Woodlands property, but they are not the only subdivision/city that borders the Woodlands, Shenandoah also borders the Woodlands.
It's ashamed that anyone has to judge another area. The Woodlands is not filled with rich people, that is a misnomer, the Woodlands has subsidized housing.
Yes part of it does flood. My son's house flooded, he rents in Timberridge, guess they will be moving as it will take the owner time to get it back in shape.
The Woodlands is nearly built out on the east side of Kuykendahl. It won't be too long and all the lots for new construction will be gone. Then, we all will be "older homes."

And over on my side of Kuykendahl they are making new roads, right now they are working on Creekside Forest and digging out roads for more homes!!
We moved from an "older" home in Panther Creek, some people kept their homes up, others had to be "prompted" by the Township to keep their homes up. I just don't get it, if you don't want to keep up your yard, even just cutting it and keeping your house neat don't buy one.
