The people that live in TL/TR are not going to sell their houses and move to your"village"..(really?...the stick must be unreachable with that label). This neighborhood was here for YEARS BEFORE THE WOODLANDS....did you have someone proof read your comment before posting it?...WOW its people like you that give The Woodlands a bad name with your snobby, I am better than you attitude, and just let me say that people of a "higher class" than you, are looking at The Woodlands with the same disdain that you show to TL/TR. But as one of your "ghetto" neighbors we will forgive your ignorance of the people around you. (did you notice the "their, there, they're were used properly in these paragraphs). Also, did you get YOUR education in THE WOODLANDS or the GHETTO, because you can NOT spell or use punctuation correctly.
Do you remember the lady jogger who was attacked at knife point on the jogging path and barely got away? And remember the several bank robberies? That did not happen in TL/TR or by anyone from TL/TR. The Woodlands has a worse crime record. Look it up. Oh, and BOOO, stay off Glen Loch then.
I live in TL-TR. I have bachelor's degree, am not on meth, and speeding is the extent of my criminal record.
Nobody has responded yet with an opinion on if TL-TR is part of The Woodlands or not. All legal documents (deed, driver's license, etc) show I live in Spring, but TL-TR is nowhere near what most people consider Spring. You cannot get to the subdivision without going through The Woodlands (which borders TL-TR on both Glen Loch and Sawdust). Despite Spring being the pseudo-official designation, half my mail says "The Woodlands." I do most of my shopping in The Woodlands, when I walk my dogs I usually go in The Woodlands, and when people ask where the subdivision is, it's easiest to just say "In The Woodlands" or "Next to Panther Creek."
So are we in The Woodlands? For convenience, yes. Our street signs may be green, our fences might be run down, and our cars might be junk, but our streets are lined with trees and we shop, attend school, and go to church with the people of The Woodlands. We're more Woodlands than Creekside Park (not even in the same county) or Harper's Landing (we don't have an interstate and an industrial park separating us).
Would it be nice if TL-TR had enough character to give it a separate identity? Of course, but we don't. Would it be nice to be a city? Of course, but the self-serve car wash doesn't provide enough of a tax base, and we'd face the same fate as Chateau Woods. So here we are, the odd annex of The Woodlands, 'Unincorporated Woodlands' if you will. Take it for good and for bad. Remember, fireworks are legal here, so with New Year's around the corner, you'll be wanting a friend in our subdivision to ring in 2011 with.
Interesting, this would explain why we have had two complaints against the MOCO Police. If they view our whole nhood as you guys do no wonder they jump to conclusions about our situations when we call them. They have been so rude to us and taken things the wrong way weve opted to just buy guns and stop calling them.
BTW, my kids dont hang out with anyone in this nhood. I agree it is totally **** infested and thats why were moving. Moving to TLTR was one of the most ignorant things I ever did and I cant leave this place fast enough.
You have a mixture of complete trash (whos kids are roaming the nhood, stealing, drugs), people who are decent and just want to be left alone (us) and the arrogant who pretend they live in the woodlands and like to start meaningless drama with everyone in this nhood (people across the street from us).
Wow I have lived in Timber lakes for 15yrs and though we do have some streets with alot of gang activity I have never had anything happen. My children go to the Woodlands schools and my son tells me that drugs are most rampant in The Woodlands.
I also feel that areas of Panther Creek are far worse then parts of Timber Lakes. But you say that our neighborhood only produces bad kids it doesn't. The neighborhood is considered Spring and yes I do say I live in Spring because The Woodlands has a reputation of of producing spoiled children and people who think they are better than everyone else. But hey if your so worried and want to give me money to move then you are more than welcome.
